I’m excited that I got promoted to shift leader today but I’m really nervous because all of the shift leaders complain about how hard it is! Today, my favorite shift lead said “don’t do it because it’s really hard.. but you should do it because it looks good on your resume.” All I have to do as a guest service associate is work the cash register and expedite food. But now I’m going to be in CHARGE of the guest service associates, and I’m in charge of their money, and paperwork, and making sure everything is stocked, and make sure they take their breaks and lunches on time etc. When the main supervisor comes in, if things aren’t going how he wants, that’ll be on me. I’m in charge of other people holy shit. I start training next week. God do you think I can do it? I think I can do it but I think I always either overestimate myself or underestimate myself and I can’t figure out which one I’m doing now.
